Summer is a movable feast
a season to be sure
whose timing varies depending
in which hemisphere
Northern or Southern you’re living
and as for length allotted
– every day at the Equator
or several months in the Arctic
how is the Summer at yours?

Over at dVerse Poets Pub, WhimsyGizmo aka De Jackson, challenges us to dance a Quadrille including the word “Summer” – a poem in just 44 words…
Love the visual of summer as a “moveable feast.” Fantastic.
Thanks De, a great prompt – not sure I did it justice…
Ha, yes, a short while or unbearably long..Tis a moveable feast indeed…
Thanks for visiting Ain…
Ah, yes! A ‘moveable feast’ indeed! But often it lingers for far too long.
Not your favourite season, Punam?
Too short over here in Ontario, Canada. Would love the season to be really long.
Ah yes, long days but short season, Grace…
A moveable feast indeed Andrew. Down here winter has been quite warm, only making the winter average for rainfall, and after a fierce summer it is worrisome.
