My first encounter with the A2Z Challenge was on the Ist April 2020 – the day it began that year (and begins every year!) – so I had no time to prepare and winged, or pantsed it with commentary on the unfolding pandemic which was deepening into a world crisis back then. In 2021 I posted chapters of a novel I was trying to finish and though I didn’t succeed within the month, I got enough momentum to finish it later that year and am now editing it…
This year, I was determined to prepare in advance and work on a subject I love – food! However, the war in Ukraine intervened as did pressure from the day job and I only had five written in advance and then it was back to panting. Of course, the war in Ukraine did not intervene with me personally, but it became clear that there would be an impact on everybody by way of supply-chain shortages and disruption and that lead me to think about how so much wheat (much of it from Ukraine), gets “wasted” producing meat and that many people might be forced to adopt more vegetarian dishes as the price of meat soars.
So I wrote about food which can be eaten in it’s own right but also used as an ingredient, and then I added to the post with ideas for gradually becoming more vegetarian in diet. below is the complete list of posts from April 2022.
