This reads out with a good rhythm of a punch and a pinch of sweetness, smiles.
Thank you Grace – I had a colleague who always got caught on the first of the month by another colleague but this morphed into a love letter…
Interresting rhythm!
It is surely… thanks for visiting
My grandparents taught me to say ‘pinch, punch, first day of the month’ when I was very young, and I’ve been saying it on the first ever since – a long time! I like the fun rhymes in your quadrille.
It was fun to write and I have now popped my Quadrille cherry…
This is fun with its rhyme and rhythm. A good one to read aloud.
Maybe next OLN…
A love song in rhyme and just 44! Cleverly done, Andrew.
Thank you Dora…
Broad smile here in Bend Oregon … love the way your words skipped about. Lunch and munch is on you today! Sorry I missed the Open Link, slept right thru the alarm.
Must have needed the sleep Helen but we missed you – glad you like this little love letter…
Great one to read out 🙌
Excellent rhythm and rhyme here! Love it.
Fun to write and my first Quadrille – Quadrilles hold no fear now…
Love delivered with rhyme in 44 words… so well done.
Amazing how poetry lets you pack so much in…
those ‘ch’endings really reach into the desire for an embrace <3
Love the wordplay in the, Andrew!
I love how this starts with a prosaic child-like play (I used to get in early on the punch) and then evolves into something very intimate, the contrast works really well, in fact heightens the main content.
“minty clinch me” I want to know more about that.
A kiss from a freshly toothpaste clean mouth….
