Revolutionary Laughing

I read a book by
a Serbian revolutionary
sharing his experience
of nonviolent action
to bring down dictators
and even military juntas
his greatest tool – laughter
poking fun utterly defeats them
imagine trumpety-Trump
the big, inflated, orange baby
wouldn’t he just hate it…

Over at dVerse Poets Pub, Mish in Poetics invites us to write about laughter and since I have little time before work, and as I am getting into the whole Quadrille thing, I have written something in just 44 words.
As a child, one of our favourite records to come on the radio, because it inexorably activated our audio mirror brain cells and had us giddily joining in – I give you “The Laughing Policeman” by Charles Jolly/Penrose…

Oh, and the book – Blueprint for Revolution, by Srdja Popovic

I love this! Seems to me, from here in Australia, that most of the world were laughing at even the idea Trump might become President the first time around, let alone actually get elected. The idea that he could get a second go is an ongoing joke to the rest of the world because if we weren’t laughing we would be crying. How low can the American electoral system go? I hope more people in America are finally waking up to the fact that he is a laughable choice of President and deserves nothing more than to be laughed at. From here it is beginning to seem that way – and he sure does seem to be hating it. So I say, America laugh him off!

Let’s hope so Sean, because if he does get in, it’ll be no laughing matter – for the whole world…

The problem is that Trump’s own follower still laughs with him at his so called “jokes”.

I cannot stand the man and more so with his blind followers. I hope Trump will not be reelected to office; shame on those maga voters.

I think he is too far gone in his faculties to be bothered – certainly not someone who you want with their finger on the nuclear button…
