Turn

…turn up for the books
turn the country, no – the world upside down
turn the law. no,-the constitution on its head
turn pawns into knights to do your bidding
but turn tail and run when pictures
of you and him speak truly…

A powerful critique of authority and hypocrisy, masterfully employing idiomatic expressions to highlight the themes. 🙌 The photo says it all!, (who would have thought Trump dies his hair 😆)

His face tells all because there is nothing inside. I remember reading a book called, “The Ugly American” in high school but I don’t remember its plot. The title fits this soulless agent of chaos. Thank you for speaking out against him, Andrew.

Every day I read of new assaults on your democracy and your constitution and surely that breaks the oath he took on being sworn in…

This is such a strong and apt description of authority and hypocrisy! The picture is worth a thousand words too!

Your poem speaks a terrifying truth ~ and this will disappear like all the other scandals, crimes. Unbelievably frustrating, disillusioning for those of us who yearn for stability, intelligence, grace ~ a leader who can actually lead.

You can never underestimate Trump – he said he would be a dictator and so he has become – I recall he said there would be no more elections so I hope that something will happen to stop that becoming true Helen…

He can turn tail and run, but he cannot hide, not now. I’m thinking that the current axial age is on the slide, but we are yet away off its ending, though it is approaching, and the historians point to the moral collapse and descent while the patriarchy cling on. What a mess.

Democracy truly means the will of the people and sometimes, like the American war of Independence or their Civil War, the people have to stand up and be counted and I know Trump said there will be no more elections but if he tries to push through on that, I think the people will rise…
